Fitting a multifunctioning steering wheel

I have recently purchased a second hand multifunctioning steering wheel for my 2002

mini cooper

, it currently has the normal standard one.

is this easy to fit, and i don't currently have cruise control, but its on the new wheel, is this possible to get going?

the guy i bought it from thinks it is

, but how do i do it?
