how do i know if i have cd changer prep??

hi,

i have an 03 mini one and am looking to buy an ipod interface that allows control through stereo (boost cd):

Car Audio Direct - The UK's leading car audio and stereo resource. BMW flat-pin iPod Interface - Connects 2 CON-ABMIPOD009

the interface says it is for cars not pre wired for changer, so if my car is prewired for cd changer, i presume i need a different interface

The CD changer prep cable should be behind the plastic flap in the boot, on the drivers side

i have just looked for a cable and ther aren't any connectors there, so i will presume it doesn't have cd prep

Has the car got the Salt or Pepper Pack on it do you know? As im not sure in 03 if CD prep was part of one of these packs?....even though you cant see the cable it could be tucked back or something, you might be best checking with your local dealer as they can check the reg on their system and bring up the full spec

I may be wrong but i thought all MINIs come prepped with this?

i have seen a thread somebody said it was a no cost extra in 2004> the car has no salt or pepper pack but loads of extras, i will go and have one last check...

had another look, i am pretty sure there is no cable there, my mini has this stereo if that helps:

sometimes the cable if folded back on the loom taped up in the right hand side cubby box.
