Another Speaker Query, Sorry!

Front door panels come off a treat, but, where is the crossover? i have taped up wire going to tweeter and main unit (it cannot be classed as a speaker!) if I am adding components, how have you guys done it? Feed from main unit and run new cable to new tweeter?

Also, rear speakers, which is the best way to get panel off? a walkthough like DOM has done on others like AMP cable would ROCK!

I've searched and had enough of getting info that is not what i searched on!!

One problem i found on rear panels is that the yellow clip at the bottom was busted by dealer and i did the other side after having a look! DOH!

Finally, got a few cables to run to rear, which side is recomended, i saw DOM recommend passenger (UK) to run AMP cable, but how easy is it to secure a couple of decent phono cables and CD Changer cable around drivers side (UK)?

There is no factory crossover. The speaker cable splits in the door (I think) with one set of wires going to the tweets and the other going to the other "speaker".

Check out my SITE , see if it helps.

You are bound to break a couple of the yellow popper clips, buy a handful from you local dealer.

I ran a Monster cable 4 pair line, two 12 gauge speaker wires and a 14 gauge remote power line from the boot, to the head down the right side and it worked very nicely. Getting the plastic panel below the door off and back was a huge PITA though.

Let me know if you need anything.

The tweeter just uses a capacitor or cut off the lower frequencies, you should be able to see it...

I put the power cable down the drivers side, as that's where I entered from the engine bay. All my other RCA's and what have you are worming down the passenger side...

Hope that helps,

Dom
