how to remove stereo? - MINI Cooper Forum

My Dad is trying to fit a DICE kit that he bought for my Mum's Mini Cooper (early 2006 model), but he's having great trouble in the first step which is trying to remove the piece of panelling that is under the steering wheel. One side comes out fairly easy, but the other side just doesn't want to budge.

Does anyone have any tips on getting it off?

Pull harder right at the corner and it will pop down.

I used a screw driver covered in tape so it didnt scratch anything and slotted it in the corner and eased the pannel off. Popped off with ease then
