nav man 90i vs tom tom 520

i can get a 30% discount on this so same price as tom tom 520 [180 at tesco]

apart from missing map share is the tom tom a worse buy i hear bad things about mounts

feel would like tmc + europe etc but cannot decide between these 2 units any pointers

i liked idea of Din unit but too rich for me, plus already upgraded alpine + ipod at £300 so would have wasted that cash as well

The oldermounts on the Tom Tom's were terrible but this was for the *10 series as in 510, 710 and 910. I have a 910 and received a replacement non droopingmount so no probs with that now.
I would say Tom Tom but the last 3 portable systems I have have been Tom Tom!
I have had a Navman in the past too, can't remember model, apart from the better detail on the maps, it was not a patch on the Tom Toms.

sure i had heard about simpson voices in the past but cannot find any thing on tom tom web site was that a special or did i imagine it

Yeah there are Simpson voices available, but I don't think it's Tom Tom that have done it, will try and find the thread:

have an older NavMan 520 which is fantatsic with lots of personal POAs and stuff

Anyone know how to change the voice on a NavMan?
