| Interior trim color options For 2002, MINI offered the high gloss silver interior trim as standard equipment in the MINI Cooper and the "Alloy Patina" (Brushed metal) trim in the MCS. The Alloy Patina looks good in the sales brochure and kinda dissapointing in person, at least to my taste. For 2003, MINI now offers the Cooper's High Gloss Silver trim as an option in the MCS and has added yet a third interior trim choice called Anthracite, wich I have not seen in person yet but appears to look good in photos. | The brushed alloy is growing on me. I was really very critical of it from the get-go, but just about every passenger has commented to the positive. Most have to touch it to check, and then nod in understanding at the notion of metal in a cockpit explaining the plastic material. Not the interior's strongest point though. sixfoot6 Dark Silver "S" - White Top - Alloy Wheels - Sports Package - Premium Package - status: In Search of Twisties |

| The brushed look is growing on me too - at first I didn't like it in the pictures, or even in a buddy's car...but now that I've had my car about a month I really like the look - I just wish some moreof the other trim panels in the car were in the same Alloy Patina look. | When I first saw the brushed alloy trim, I didn't like it that much (it looked as if someone had smeared greasy fingers all over it), but the more I see it the more I like it and I may even consider it as an option! Be warned though that photographs often make it look different than it is in real life. As for the anthracite trim, this is something that you REALLY have to see it for real before committing to it. I personally dislike it; for one thing it makes the cabin look really dark, but in a sunnier climate (compared with the UK) it probably would look better. It seems to be a moderately popular (more so than what I would have thought) option too, at least in the UK. |

| Carbon fiber dash I just found this site that makes a carbon fiber dish kit for the MCS http://www.iptdashkits.com/ |

| Got the anthracite trim with tartan red interior although i was told i would be given the silver one ... very odd! it was the first time i had seen it and i fell in love with it! just strange that my car came with it! I eat Coopers! |

| Oh, WOW! Please post some pictures for us, can you?! That sounds GORGEOUS. I would almost certainly order that combination if the red were available on the S. Texan. Goofy. Sometimes witty. Pacifist. Imperfect, nice guy. Trying. |
