carbon down tubes, Alcantara gaiters

Ive been looking at these for years now, but i couldn't justify spending the money. So i opted to do them myself. i found a cardon fiber kit on the bay, ordered and had a play.

took me a couple of weekends to get them right, but they look really nice, for a quarter of the cost.

here's a pic from the side

I've also bought some alcantara and made my own handbrake and gear gaiter covers.
I'm not mega happy with this so i may do them again. I'm also in the middle of spraying
my dash black, I've do the gear and cup holder rings.

I was going to try this on my whole dash but it was looking to much of a job with the curved surfaces.

Did you have a guide to follow and can you list what products you used please

Scott

the place on ebay is this guy : eBay My World - carbonmstyle

i've been looking and i think the JCW ones are just wrapped like mine.
it's not the ****** cheap stuff you buy from halfords.

the kit i got has two different thickness of carbon, i used the heavier stuff on these, was just enough to do both, and the other stuff is aboout half a meter by a meter, so who knows what next.

@ScottyBoy: it'll bend round the dash no problems it's pretty flexible stuff, but i wondered about the airbag cover, coz when this drys, it's rock hard.

thanks for your comments
