You can control it from the ipod and it is fine.

Pressing any buttons when it says cd check doesnt work on the radio or the MFSW.

If you disconnect the ipod and plug it back in, it will temporarily display a track number and enable you to press buttons but it soon reverts back to cd check (after about 2 button presses).

Have you tried what I suggested in post #15. If you can operate it via the pod it's in the pod interface and pressing buttons on the stereo won't do much anyway. To operate properly through the stereo and MFSW it needs to be in gateway interface which is reached as per post #15. When pressing the FF button keep it pressed until something happens, sometimes a few seconds.

If this doesn't work then I would suggest a call to Mikey at Newministuff who may recognise the problem.

If anyone is interested, Mikey came to my rescue.

I hadnt thought it because I had unplugged the cd changer wire from the head unit but I hadnt disconnected the wires from the cd changer I had.

Removing the iBus from the CD Changer has made it work perfectly.

Mikey - You are a legend. Thanks for your help

I contacted Dension Support, and they sent me an updated firmware file that fixed the problem. Give them a try.

Hi,

I have this same problem and can't seem to locate any firmware from the Denison support site. I have V.201. Can I touble to you confirm if you have the same version please?

Appreciate it

I sent an email to Dension support outlining my problems, and they emailed the firmware. The firmware that Dension sent me is V.206.

They first sent me V.208, but it didn't work. So I emailed them and they sent the 206 firmware.

If you don't get a response, I still have the file lying around.

Yes received v2.09 - Fixed my problem, however creating others. The problem now is I can not switch bewteen the USB device to the Ipod device (when Ipod and a Hard Drive is both plugged in) , aslo not being able to use the ipod when in 'ipod UI' (user interface) mode. I read somewhere here that it was possible to control the ipod on the device itself if it is in 'ipod UI' mode.

thanking you for your advice

Unhappy RE-Enabling Text Disply on old Boost HU

Hi again.. Sorry to bother you again. I managed to get the Text Display working.. however after sitting down and playing with it last night in an attempt to familiarise myself with what button does what, I unknowingly disabled the Text Display. I tried to download the file from dension website again and loaded it. But still no text display.

Can anyone help?

My Gateway 300 shows some album names as just a single letter. What's that all about?
It's using the USB interface.

The names are ok when the USB memory is plugged into my laptop.
Also, the whole thing is picking up electrical interference, noticeable between tracks. It's kind of amplifying the supercharger whine!
(The Dension box is located in the glove box via the small removable panel.)

Shuffle play on Gateway/ipod?

Anyone know how to set the gateway so that it is always on "random" across all the tracks on my iPod?

Every time I turn the stereo off and on, it goes back to playing the tracks in alphabetical order by song title.

Not a huge problem, but a little annoying.

Thanks!
Steve

I have just had a gateway 100 fitted in my 2005 Cooper S and I can get text on the sat nav & radio from my iPhone 3GS .. Dension emailed the instructions for setting it up ... The dealer said text wouldn't work on the sat nav ... But it does !! ... I have a Boost radio fitted , I can also operate it from the multifunction steering wheel , which was retro fitted by my local Mini dealer recently
