Strange Box in boot

Wondering if anyone can help?

Ive just taken delivery of a Cooper S Checkmate with a a HK sound system with IPOD interface.

In the boot behind the right hand side panel, I have a black box bolted to the car behind the lights.
Any ideas what this could be? ( I Will post pics when I get home)

It's not the CD 6 changer, is it? Can you slide the top of it? If you can, you should see the slots for 6 CDs...

EDIT: Just read your post again, and if you mean actually inside the panel, once the trim is off, I have no idea! Didn't think there would have been much room in there for any kind of box, as I've had my hand in there trying to get bulbs out!

Both my MINIs have had H/K, and I've never been aware of an amp...

The H/K system does have an amp, although I am not sure where it is located.

If you are very lucky it could be an Intravee..... a aftermarket black box that allows for Ipod connectivity for the MINI. Do you have Sat Nav ? Do track names appear on the sat nav screen ?

If yes to the above then it will be the Intravee box.

So its the HK amp!
And i was getting excited it may be something else!!!

AS for IPOD no I dont have Sat nav, but dont get Track details anything I can do about this?
