England Glove Box I-Pod Connection

Hi,

I'm installing my new Sony Head Unit & XA110 I-Pod interface unit. I want to trail the I-pod connector to the glovebox to keep the interior tidy, what is the best route to run the cable?

Also, what is the best location for the interface unit? Preferably, I'd like to install this out of sight. Is there any room behind the dash?

Thanks!

If your car does NOT have Factory Nav then there is loads of space behind the centre instrument pack.
Possible route for cable is from back of ICE to glovebox through the torch blank in the back wall of the glovebox, just pops out.
Hope this helps.

Chris,

Thanks for your help! I managed to fit the head unit & I Pod adaptor. The only problem I encountered was finding space to tuck all of the cables and connectors. When I slide the head unit into the cage, i can't get it to slide in all the way and you can see a gap around the edge of the head unit & the dash. Any advice on where to tuk the cables etc. I used a fitting kit from new mini stuff and the connectors seem pretty bulky for what they are?

The connectors should fit to the left of the ICE behind the Heater controls, or tuck them up behind the instrument pack.
Check the "bung" on the end of the ICE has fitted into the recess in the heater OK.
