ICE melted disappointing sounds

Hi

I have had my MCS for just over a month and enjoying it, I have one gripe that is really starting to bug me. I have a boost stereo with HK upgrade speakers, my other-half purchased and fitted the dension kit so I can plug in my ipod and operate it using controls on the steering wheel - all in it should in theory be a great bit of kit but....I am sooo disappointed with the sound quality its TERRIBLE!

I need some advice on the source of the problem, is it:
1. the factory fitted stereo
2. the speakers are blown
3. the dension box is interfering with the system

I'm getting a high level of distortion at low volume levels - its sounds a bit like a cheap hi-fi where the volume has surpassed the capacity of the speakers. Can anyone offer some advise? I don't want to splash out on a new headunit if it isn't the problem.

I didn't really notice the problem until I got the Ipod connected but it seems to be affecting the radio and CD too

Please help, I can't listen to my tunes.

Is your normal radio working correctly? If that is the case then the distortion is the Icelink. Sadly I don't know much about that model but I would suggest you check the connections.
