Chromeline Interior Fitting

Hi
Hope you can help!
Have got the chromeline interior on the way and have managed to work off most of the existing trim already by gently prising them off but the speedo/rev I am struggling with!

My MINI has nav so obviously you know the speedo and rev counter come as one unit behind the steering wheel. How do you remove the trim to replace it with the shiny chrome replacement?

Thanks for your help guys!

I didnt actually remove all my orgianl trims as the chrome should just slide over the top - most people do this -

Genuine BMW trims replace existing parts, aftermarket copies stick over the top of existing. There are a few DIY How to fit threads on this topic if you search on Mini2 for chromeline interior I think but not sure about the nav version.

To fit OE chrome trim to the double column pack, you nned to dismantle the pack.
Remove it from the car and there are 4 screws on the back that come out and allows you to dismantle the pack, the chrome trim bit is clipped in place.

Hope this helps.......

Cheers Chris. The dismantling was fun... and scary at the same time! but got there in the end. Pleased with the end result!

Although I read the warnings, one of the screws from the back slid down and is now lost!! I can see it but there's not quite enough room for me to grab it even with tweasers!!
Luckily the 2 torx screws which held it down didnt disapeer. Any tips on getting this screw out or just leave it?

Im sure Im not the first to have this happen and prob not the last

Cheers
