Replacing Minidisc Head Unit with a newer boost CD unit

Hi,

Currently have a 2003 MCS with the following

Harman Kardon
Minidisc head unit
6 CD auto-changer
Built in sat nav
Traffic master ( which comes through head unit )
Parrot hands free car kit ( which comes through the head unit )

I will be replacing the head unit with a newer boost model ( from a 2006 car ) which has CD instead of minidisc.

Are all the connectors the same at the back ? Should this just be a case of plug and play replacement ?

Also am I correct in thinking that the newer head units support MP3 CDs ?

Many thanks

Perm
