Pure Silver Fitting a glove box?

Hi all,

Just found a glovebox from a salvage yard for my Mini Coop (03 reg) anyone got instructions on how to fit it? Currently just got the shelf where the glovebox should be.....

Orrr does any of you know where i could get it fitted for a reasonable price in Kent?

Thanks for helping a newbie/girl driver

Kirsti

Just picked it up from the salvage yard and it has no screws with it... can i use the ones taken from the shelf?
Or do you know anywhere that will sell them?

Yes you can use the same screws if there are enough.

I think the screw at the back is different - it may already be in the car, take a torch and have a good luck.

Otherwise it is off to the dealers for some screws.

Managed it in the end. There are two screws right at the top. One in the middle at the back, actually in the hole. Then two clips at the front underneath that you full towards you then two clips near the first two screws at the top. These need levering down with a screwdriver. It really is easy once you locate everything!!

I rekon my shelf made more creaks than the glove box does!!

I like the way it looks anyway, makes the front of the car look more solid and finished IMHO.

I had got my glovebox second hand and screwed it in with only 3 screws and it makes no noise at all.
