Speaker wiring to doors - HELP!

Hi,

Am currently upgrading my whole sound system, can anyone tell me how i can run my new speaker wires to the doors!

I took the bolt out that holds the rubber door boot in place and instead of wires theres a plug which stops me from running other wires through the boot! Anyone managed to get round this? Any tips?

Any help much appreciated
Tom

I used the existing wiring to my new crossovers, then new wires from crossovers to components when i upgraded the sound system in our MCSC. Looked like a nightmare to feed new wires through dash into door. The rears were a doddle though.

I managed to get new cable through, but it's not easy.
I undid the plug and saw there was a section with no pins in it. I then carefully drilled 2 holes in each side of the plug, pushed the new cable through the holes and then put the plug back together.

A steady hand and some patience and it can be done

I did exactly what tnoy66 did.
It's a bit fiddly but if you want to use high quality OFC speaker cable, as
i did, it's the only solution.
Saying that, i am using a 3 amp MTX system, with MB Quart reference speakers in the front doors (17cm), Infinity Kappa 3 way 6X9's in the rear quarter panel space
and a reference MB Quart sub in the boot.
Sounds wonderful!!!
