Question Cracked steering wheel logo

I recently broke my hand and had a cast on (couldn't stop me driving though) and I have slightly chipped a bit of the silver paint off the steering wheel logo.

What can I apply to this before it gets any worse? I've been told clear nail polish, but that isn't going to work cos the plaque is matt and the polish will gloss it.

Help!!!!!

All Cooped Up

Keep on Motoring........

Hi Alco, I was polishing the trim once, when part of the silver trim came off,I took it to the dealer, and they replaced the whole airbag.WARNING,dont press your fingernail or anything hard into the silver trim,it dents PERMANENTLY.

I had a similar incident and took it to my dealer who quoted me Ģ130 + Vat to replace the airbag also.

The paint is so weak, it's easier to scratch off than a Lottery scratch card.

Thumbs up

really?!?!?! so everytime it gets stratched they will give me a new one? Even if they replace just one that's good news because in less than 2000 miles I already have a nice fat stratch in mine.

I think it would depend on the nature of the damage but it is a fault, the material is much too soft.
