United-Kingdom Gear Stick Knob?

I bought a second hand mini cooper from CarCraft a few weeks ago, and what can I say! I love it!

However, I have had alot of trouble with CarCraft and have had it back into the work shop to have ;

Windscreen Repaired
Cracked Gear Stick Head Replaced
Cracked Seat Belt Panelling Replaced
Driver Seat Belt Replaced (Exsessivly worn/ripped)

I am booked in to go and have these new parts fitted and the guy on the phone mentioned these have been ordered from BMW and are official new parts.

The problem I have is, my current gear stick although damaged has the "Chrome Effect" and is quiet nice looking. Will the new gear stick be replaced by a box-standard "ugly" gear knob? - I mentioned this to the engineer and he says he doesnt think so - however, I have extremely little faith in CarCraft actually telling the truth.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

Has it been in an accident? Never seen a car with a ripped seatbelt or damaged plastic on where the seatbelt reels from.
