Boost or H/K?

i have a few questions,, my MCS came factory fitted with the H/K sound system,...

what i dont understand is what stereo do i have- boost stereo or a H/K one?

according to mini.co.uk you have to have the boost stereo to have a h/k system fitted,,,

I ask this because i want to order a parrot evo handsfree kit from NewMINIStuff.com but they list two seperate kits one for boost and one for h/k ,,,,

also has any one had any dealings with newministuff because i emailed them two days ago with the same query and as yet no answer which kinda grates me because im willing to spend my cash with them but do they want my custom!!!!

Does the head unit have a CD player.


I know that Mikey is way behind with e-mails at the moment due to a very busy work life and looking after his kids whilst hios wife is in hospital - bear with him he will get back to you --- but you will need to have clear information available so taht you end up with the right kit.

yes the head unit is a cd player..

The H/K uses the Boost HU, and adds an amp.

I think the hands-free system "splices" in to the speaker feed to give you the phone call sound - with H/K it has to be done differently because of the H/K amp.

thanks for that, that would explain why there is a kit for the boost and a kit for the H/K,

so i need the h/k kit

I will call newmini stuff to order that way i will get the right one, at £150
i dont want to get it wrong
