Question Auto changer or new head unit???

as i was impatient and bought the show room mini instead of waiting months i got what the dealer had thought would be nice. MY mini came with the standard wave radio and after a while fiddling about with a portable cd player and car kit tape thingy it is starting to get a bit annoying
so which would be better, getting an auto changer or a new head unit with cd player. BEaring in mind my budget is around £200 (im still a student )
any suggestions would be great
thanks in advance
G

I think that a head unit (single disk) that plays mp3 files is the only way to go. Especially in a car with limited space for such things as a changer. I don't have my Mini yet but the head unit I use now is moving to the Mini when it arrives. It is an Alpine that does mp3's (better than some others) and it performs perfectly. Being a student I am sure that you have access to an mp3 or two.

I'd say go aftermarket (don't think £200 would get you the changer anyway).

There's plenty of respectable units for below £200 if you look on the internet.

www.cel-direct.com
www.bassjunkies.com

etc etc

Also, I think someone has a unit for sale on here somewhere. Try checking your local small ads too

This thread has me thinking now - When I move the Alpine to the Mini will the volume controls on the wheel work? I thought I saw something about the factory unit being made by Alpine.

Answered somewhere else?
