Thanks in advance...

P.S Sorry to take this thread selfishly off topic

Yes this is off topic but once you post a reply to this message (so I know you have read my response) I will split ours from this thread and start a new one.

Right, it uses a dashmount bracket (www.dashmount.co.uk) which is fixed by the two screws for the radio. The metal plate fits in between the radio and the silver downtube.

If you need any more pics let me know

I have a Dashmount bracket too. Since they're only just up the road from here, I dropped in, and they gave me a dicount for cash. When I came out, I found some of the staff swarming around my MINI - a young lady working there had a classic Cooper.

An alternative solution is Plummer Communication's leather pad

I would match your new armrest, monsta (I bet ya can't wait for your birthday to get it back into your MINI)

Omigod what a faux pas, or as someone once said to me, a "forks pass"

And now, to take this otherwise worthy thread even further off topic, can you post a picture of your tractor please... It sounds way cool!

Rich, Don't forget your glovebox, it may foul both of those tube fixing brackets.

It looks like it would foul Bad Manners' but I'm sure monsta's version could be bent slightly...

Of course, as always, I come up with great (albeit small) solutions

Probably no reason not to fit it on the drivers side. Might foul the knee I suppose. I have mine mounted there in the Forester as it encourages me NOT to dial out on the move.

Rich,

Below is a link to a post I set up a couple of months ago on this topic. It's not as pretty as all the other options out there but I think it is more cost effective when considering the mount itself came with my dad's old cell phone.

The Lazer
Chili Red w/ White Top/mirrors/wheels
clear third brake light
Sony Mp70 + T69
more to come?

If you look at it that way, I guess because the phone is so close to the steering wheel, you can dial out without removing your hands, so are perhaps under the illusion that it's perfectly safe. Doesn't affect me though, I don't have any friends

Congrats on your 6,000 posts, btw

Thanks for another option Adam... maybe a bit too industrial-looking for me though

BTW, thanks Monsta for transplanting this thread from one about downtubes and setting it up on it's own
