United-Kingdom cold air only from my heater?

Can anyone help? I have a 2003 bmw mini cooper s. When I turn the heater on I only get cold air? The car temperature gauge only goes to half way as it as always done when the car heater was working fine.
Any help or advive would be appreciated.
The only thing I have done to the car lately is change the blown cigaret lighter fuse.

The standard heater or basic heater/air con uses a cable to change the temperature so this may be broken. The automatic climate control used electric motors. It makes desicions to operate these based on inputs from various sensors. A sensor may be faulty or the control module could be faulty. As far as I am aware all BMW's override sensors when you select the maximum possible heat so try that as a test.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

Thanks Steve,
It's a 2003 mini cooper s with air con. The heater contraol is circular with an lcd display in the middle.
My wife, who's car it is, admits to possibly disconecting or braking something in the drivers side footwell. I have looked in that area and can see a plastic arm like mechanism hanging down. (It has a yellow dot on it) I do not have a maual to see where or if this should be connected in any way but perhaps you might be able to tell me.
Many thanks for ay help. Martin
