Which iPod should I buy

i dont think ipod touches work, I use one of the old school black and white screen ones.

I tried both iPod classic and iPod touch. I found the iPod classic too "noisy", in between tracks you could hear the HDD's spinning noise transmitting a screeching sound through the stereo. FYI, this was on a brand new iPod classic too.

Not sure on the difference between your 05 and my 09 iPod compatibility but if there aren't any issues with the iPod touch I'd definitely run with it.
