Amp & Sub Install

I've been reading a lot of posts in this section, but haven't really been able to answer any of my questions, so hopefully someone can help. I have an 04 MC R50 with a Boost HU. I have had an amp and sub for a couple of years now, but never got around to installing it. Now that I'm done with school I want to get it going. I have an MTX Thunder 282 amp (http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/...hunder282.cfm), an Infinity Kappa 100.3se 10" sub (Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Stereo, Home Theater, Speakers, Digital Cameras) and an 8 gauge amp install kit. Now onto the questions.

1. The amp has both RCA's and a speaker level input, which should I use? Also, depending on which one is suggested, is there a connector that I need to get to attach it to the back of the head unit?

2. Where do I actually make these connections at? Do I splice into the wires exiting the head unit or is there another location? Wherever I make the connection at is there a wiring diagram that shows which wires to tap into?

3. is there a wiring harness for the Boost head unit? If so, where do I get one?

4. I have installed some 6x9 Infinity Kappa 2-ways in the rear speakers, will I need to adjust how they are connected to the head unit?

5. I have read a number of posts suggesting that the pin connectors for the front and rear speakers be switched, should I still do that?

I'm fairly new to the audio arena, so any help is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to install the amp/sub is to take add a speaker cable to one of the 6x9's and put that into the amp high level input. Connect the cable at the 6x9 to the same cable posts as the existing cable. If you don't have Sat Nav there is a styrofoam insert under the passanger's seat. I don't know if that is a UK or USA passenger though. It is 4cm high one end, 7cm high the other and 27cm by 42cm width and length. If this isn't available then you'll have to lose boot space and build a false floor or attach it to the sub box. Doesn't look as neat attached to the sub box but at least that makes it removable with the box if you are pushed for space. Set the xover on the sub to 80Hz. No need to adjust the rear speakers except by using the fader to reduce or increase the volume as they are unlikely to have the same effeciency ratings as the fronts. Long term it would be nice to replace the fronts with the same model Infinitys except of course they would need to be a 165cm component set.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs
