Headunit Not Saving Settings or Radio

Hi,

Since i bought my mini (R50) it has had a kenwood aftermarket headunit which doesn't appear to save any bass/treble setups or any radio stations

This has never bothered me as it has ipod connection useb connection and cd but i would like my radio as i just feel everything should be right and besides it gives me something to do

So if any of you have any solutions as to why it wont save radio presets or bass setups please comment

Thanks

Hi,
I think the problem lies with the wiring.
You should have 12V going to the head unit with the key in the ignition position 1 and your Kenwood stereo should have a permanent 12V supply going to it with the ignition key out.
This is so you don't loose radio station pre-sets etc when the ignition is switched off.
The head unit needs to be removed to check the connections, not a difficult job.
Hope this helps.
Ade.
