| Used BMW Business CD unit into Mini? Can I install a late model BMW Business CD MP3 radio into my recently purchased 2004 Cooper? At the moment it has a cheap Kenwood stereo that I hate (fiddly buttons, horrific menuing). I can find used units on eBay that have just come out of 2009/2010 1 and 3 series BMWs and they look like they'd work. I want solid buttons, simple menus, and I'd like the headunit's lights to dim with the dashboard. Main tech requirement is that it plays MP3 CDs...which recent basic bimmer radios do, I think. I was told that the previous owner purchased a wiring adapter and didn't cut the wires. Do I have to change a code if I install it? Will the used radio somehow confuse the car's electronics? Couldn't find this topic on any other thread, though I did try and search for it. Thanks! |
