Radio/Model compatability - MINI Cooper Forum

Hello all
(this is my first posting on a forum on Mini2, in fact my first posting ever so please forgive any errors of etiquette)
I biught a '52 reg Cooper S (model variant R52) and need to replace the radio/cassette. Can anyone tell me if a BMW Alpine Mini CD/ Radio Stereo Model CD53 R50 from an '04 Cooper S will fit?

Yes it will fit.

yes but you will need a facia adapter and iso harness adapter. Potentially an aerial adapter depending on what radio you buy
