Bluetooth!!

Went out in a friends new M3 today (lucky Git) the car is fully loaded and has the BMW bluetooth kit. The kit is very flash since it brings up the callers number on the screen for the navigation. I want my mini to do this! Does any one no how it can be achieved and do mini offer a bluetoooth kit ?

Thanks in advance.

Mini don't do it yet
Kenwoods motorised screen/radio/nav has an interface available for several phones (not bluetooth) that brings up the caller details on screen and even lets you type out text messages on the touch screen!

I don't think mini offers a bluetooth kit yet.
Shouldn't be too long I guess.

Try www.expansys.com. They offer a bluetooth car kit which works with both Nokia and Ericcsson phones. I've just ordered one, should get it tomorrow.

I have the SonyEricsson T68 with the Bluetooth HBH-15 headset from Ericsson and it works great. Have it already a year and still is a great combo.
Cheaper then a carkit and you can keep it when you switch cars. Also you can continue your conversation while getting in/out the car as long as the phone is within 10 metres of the headset everything works without a hassle. And last but not least: NO CABLES!!

Oh yes I synchronize my MS Outlook agenda with the one in my T68 through Bluetooth. (USB Bluetooth on my desktop)

Yup the head sey is great i love mine two but it`s just the flash of the name coming up on the screen makes all the systems in the car feel really intergrated unlike some technologies that are great but look ugly such as changing the head unit a great thing to do but spoils the dash in a mini, ho hum looks like i will just have to look at the phone screen or personalise my ring tones cheers for the imput chaps

I got the T68i..and the Ericsson MP3/Hands free kit. Its really smart, comes with 32mb MMC card..which you can just about squeeze an album onto (if you lower the bit rate).
The best thing is....the track stops when the phone rings..and continues when you hang up.
It can take a 64mb card....and possibly the 128mb...so plenty of room for tracks. £32.94 from Sony..well recommended!!

I have the Parrot Bluetooth car kit in my Mini. Unfortunately, Sony changed their software in the T68i and it is not working fully yet with the car kit. Supposedly, there is a software patch due out next week. Will let you know how it works.
So far, the unit is completely hidden except for one panel with an answer and end button. Plays through the stereo while muting or pausing whatever is playing. Never have to plug in or worry about connecting to the car at all.

I have the same set up and Agree it has big benefits over fitting the Btooth to the car, better value too.

Hi,

Has anyone managed to get the Parrot Bluetooth car kit working with the T68i?

Thanks
