Aux input issues (Bare with me!)

Hi all.

So I have been reading these forums for a few days about the aux input and all the issues.

I followed a DIY, made my own cable, which works, i.e mp3 player to random set of speakers produces sound!

The issue i have is when plugged into the Mini's radio, no aux option...

I have a 54 plate Cooper, unfortunately dont know much more details about the model except is an R50 (and production code RC32)...

I believe my radio is a Boost. Model number CD53 R50. Its an Alpine. And manufacture date is 01 December 1W...

If anyone can tell me if this WILL actually work for this radio it'd be appreciated and any tips on how to get it to work...

Well, all sorted, turns out the radio i had, made in 2001, was too old, so bought a 2003 model and aux now works!
