Dark Silver 03 MCS Navigation

Hi all,

New forum member so please don't bite!

My current CD navigation system is slowing dying it continuously resets itself every 10 minutes no matter whether it's in the navigation mode or car computer.

I'm curious to know whether it's possible to update the CD drive to a DVD drive, would it just work or would I have to mod it.

Any ideas on what something like that would cost.

(I've reburned a copy of my nav CD just incase it was scratched however I am still receiving the issue.)

Thanks

DarkByD3sign
Adam

As far as I know the MK1 Mini had a BMW MK3 or MK4 satnav which is already DVD based?

in this case you may want to consider upgrading to an MK4 altogether. This has perspective view etc.

Does it just fit, or would I have to mod it?

The one I linked should be a like for like replacement to your drive. I don't know for sure but you should be able to replace it with an MK4 DVD drive/computer. Would be the better alternative.
