Hello all,
Just got a 2006 S with the John Cooper Works package and the Harman Kardon stereo today. It has the Boost HU with CD and no changer. I want to be able to play my iPhone/ipod through the system. The window sticker that came with the car says it is "auxiliary input ready." Miniusa.com has an iPod adapter that sounds like it would work and it is only $380. I've also seen an "aux input" for $39. My car has a production date of 2/06. Anybody have any ideas?
While on the subject anybody know for sure what speakers are installed? I've read 8 but only see 6.
join these two sites and search for aux, you can make it yourself for like $40 with a soldering iron, cable and resistors, northamericanmotoring, Minitorque,
I made mine using those two sites for my 2005 mcs oem head unit works great
