United-Kingdom Cheap way to stop dash rattle?

Guys my dash is rattling in my mini copper s 03.
I think it's the vent to demise the windows, is there anyway of sorting this without taking the fast out as iv never done this before.
Front window byway.
Also if anyone knows if I get a used onboard computer thingy is it a job just plug and go or does mini need to sort it themselves
Thanks James

I used self adhesive felt, 1mm thick
and self adhesive neoprene of various thickness when i
removed my dash to fit the JCW carbon fibre dash.
Worked a treat, solid as a rock now!
