Fitting replacement OEM H/U
Chaps......and ladies!

The wifes OEM Headunit has died, CD53 Alpine unit. If I buy a like for like unit to replace it will it need coding?

Should I opt for a newer OEM unit? i.e. Boost ?

She wants OEM look only and wont listen to my aftermarket suggestions

Won't need coding, just old one out and the replacement in, unless you upgrade it, Wave and Boost have different connectors on the back.


You could always fit aftermarket and not let her know till its done
