Headunit Upgrade - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi, my first post on here so bear with me.

I am a regular on the TMF forum having owned a classic mini for many years.

This week the old mini failed its mot so I've decided to work on that over the winter and bought myself a 51 plate 2002 Mini ONE 1.6 petrol. Waiting to take delivery should be early next week.

However my first job will be to upgrade the OEM radio cassette headunit with a later OEM CD unit. I am guessing these are all interchangeable and there seems plaenty on ebay.

Also I would like an AUX input for my ipod - is there an OEM headunit that will provide this or will it need to be in addition? If so whats the best way to install one?

My 03 mini already has CD but i want aux or maybe usb to the head unit. I know some sony/pioneer/etc head units will fit but im not sure about all the wiring
