R53 Harmon kardon System symptoms

Good Morning Mini Community,

I have a cooper s r53 04 plate with the HK system. The two lower door speakers seem to be having some problems. The passanger side lower door doesnt seem to work any more after weeks of crackling, and the drivers side lower door speaker is now very faint and crackly. Both upper door speakers sound seems fine.

Do I need some replacement speakers or is the amp blown? Any suggestions would be great! Was thinking of going to Mini to see if they can fix but thought I would come here first for some knowledge.

Thanks.

They could have got wet being the lower ones from rainwater getting between the door glass and weather strip.
Also maybe the drip covers arent there/displaced for them in the door?

Usually the woofers get an issue with it's cone connecting wire being cut.. if you take out the woofer it is quite easy to repair even yourself if you know the basics on soldering.
Just be careful not to damage the woofer..
