HK enabler or parrot & ipod lead

I have a cooper with HK and want to add Bluetooth handsfree and iPod connection my options seem to be HK enabler and headunit although at £70 just for the enabler this seems like an expensive option or an iPod lead plugged into the CD changer port and a parrot kit but I can't find which iPod adapter I'd need to get an idea of cost

Just wondered other people's opinions? I could run a parrot 9200 as originally planned but have been told without an aux in to the stereo the sound quality is awful

The Alpine Boost units can run an Aux In after 2004.

hold on for a month or two if you can, I will be selling the HK enabler with the pushbutton on it to change the sound settings as you could with the original headset

Going to be fitting a sub and amp or three, so the HK enabler will be up for sale, its only 5 weeks old, but I will only want about £40 for it in P&P

Hi peparami, that setup sounds like its gonna be a bit of an animal! (sorry could not resist )
Quick question will you be selling your HK amp? My wifes one has a dead channel.
Re the subs etc are you doing a fully mounted set up or just lose boxes?
If you are going for the somewhat limited boot space I would line it with lots of layers of masking tape, then wet layup fibreglass (about three layers should give you strength without flex, you can add more if needed once you pop it out of the car), then once its set pop it out and build an mdf front and top on to the shell.
This will give you the maximum space/volume of air in the box, it is also worth putting wadding (remove guts of an old fibre pillow works) in the box as this in effect increases the speakers internal air volume (i know it seems weird filling the space to increase space)
Have fun and wear gloves, post lots of pics, and turn up the bass!
Shanos
Ps let me know re the amp
