Might look OK if it was a matt powdery-finish yellow.

It's the gloss finish that kills it. Personally, I'd like to see a MINI with leather where the yellow bits are on that picture, but I know that'll never happen as there are airbag bits in the way.

Variation on the theme
I would actually like to see a Mini with body color door panels (a la the available red) and matching top dash pad..that combined with the silver standard plastic trim is kinda nice. The idea reminds me of the old cars with the body-color metal dashes.
