Mini ONE 2006 Head Unit, Harman Kardon, Sat Nav??

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2006 Mini ONE, with a Radio Boost Head unit, Harman Kardon sound system, and factory fitted Sat Nav in the centre dash. It also has an iPod connection wired to the glove compartment.

My question is if I want an auxiliary connection what type of wire do I need without messing up any of the current devices installed (HK Sound, Sat Nav etc.) I have read that is a nightmare buying a new head unit with the HK sound system and sat nav but if there was a way around this that would be great.

I have attached some pics to look at, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys

Not sure what you want to do...... the ipod connector IS the Auxiliary connection, you cant fit another one,

This link will show you the connections

The ipod connector is the OEM one from when the car was first bought, so it's ridiculously temperamental with what ipods it works with. That's why I want to replace it with an aux connection but the the setup behind the head unit is really confusing and I'm not sure whether it will be a case of unplugging the ipod connector and inserting the aux one. The aux lead is on its way so I'll give it a crack one it's here

The lead came however it replaced the sat nav audio connection and not the ipod one so Ive had to send it back. It also gave a really bad sound output when connected, I think it may he the HK sound system. Absolute nightmare, the search continues

Thanks for the link, will try this if halfords cant fit a new headunit with usb/bluetooth. They have had the car 8 hours, and want it again in the morning do you think they are struggling because of the factory fitted sat nav and HK upgrade.

Yes, I have answered your thread in the general discussion section.

My cooper s R52 has sat nav, I have fitted an aux input for an MP3 player (type with headphone plug) but you have to take the pins out of the connector and add then to the sat nav input plug.
