What MINI wanted to make, and what a supplier SHOULD make...

It would have been nice, and surely SOMEONE really smart could do this:

Yes, the flashing indicator stalk was an idea to hark back to the first Mini's which had this feature. Apparantly they couldn't do it, because the green flashing light would have been on the wrong side for convention in certain countries (or something like that) so they had to drop it.

Paul I am looking at doing this for myself. Did you ever get to drive a MINI with this set up? As I don't know if the LED would be visible because of the steering wheel.

I never drove a MINI with this no, this photo is from 'a source' and is of a test car.

I thought it was a Photoshop job!

Let us know if this becomes available!
I LOVE the flashing red alarm indicator on the right stalk, it would be very cool to have one on the left as a turn signal indicator or Highbeam indicator or...?

This is the design for the indicator light, it would have been really cool if they had gone ahead and made it, but all plans from BMW were dropped (due to regulations).

Not sure if it would be viable for an aftermarket company to put one together?

Totally cool. Just think of all the extras that were dropped because of regulations. Let's start with a wooden steering wheel and wooden dash. Anyone else?
