United-Kingdom Radio wave/boost or spend the money on sports seats?

Have a mini one due on march 21st - have scraped together 200 quid extra.

This means I can either change my radio wave for a radio boost or change my aqua seats for kaleido sport seats.

What the best bet?

rewgarding radio wave ....can that control a cd changer? if not it will have to be CD boost I reckon over the seats.

thanks in advance

John

The Wave unit can control a CD changer - MAKE SURE YOUR ORDER SPECIFIES "CD PREP" - it is a no-cost option so get it on there if it isn't already!!

I think my preference would be the seats though...

Don't know about the sports seats as I have the Aqua ones. I'm very happy with them.

I have the single CD boost which I think sounds good unless you listen to AM radio.

Get the CD changer prep for free whatever you decide. Suggest getting the boost though as the sound will be better if you add the changer at some point.

I would get both if I were you but if I could only get one now, I'd definitely get the sport seats. They are an absolute must in this car. You can always upgrade the stereo later and while you can upgrade seats it is probably a bigger job and much more expensive.

Harry's point is good, but I just want to add that I think the CD Boost is *superb* and I am thoroughly comfortable on my bog-standard seats!

I agree. I wish I'd gone for the sports seats. I find myself straining to stay in the seat around bends, such is the cornering ability of this car.

Gat the sports seats and save up for an after market Head unit as for 200 quid will get you a V.good single cd head unit. The stereo is the easy one to change at a later date.

I agree with the comments here. Both of my sisters have MINI Ones. One has standard seats and the other has sports seats. The sports seats are definitely much better, more supportive in cornering and look better to boot.

In comparison to aftermarket units, I think that the CD Boost is poor value.

Cheers everyone. Think I'll go for the seats.

CD changer prep already specced and I found a link in the links section that can get me a changer to plug straight on in a few months for 150 quid.

thanks again

depends what you're looking for! I find most aftermarket units unusable! Remember that (a) the CD Boost unit is styled to match the dashboard in matt black, and with a curved front (b) with orange (dimmable by dash button) LEDs to match the dash and (c) has speed-controlled volume (which I LOVE!).
