Pure Silver Change from Rev Counter only to Rev + Speedo on column

Has anyone changed from the set up where only the rev counter is on the steering column to one where both are on - i.e. what you get if you order the factory nav kit.

i have this idea of putting guages 'into' the pie plate area but the dealer I talked to wasn't very helpful when i asked about making the change. i wasn't asking the dealer to add the new guages only shift all the functions to the steering column.

Behind the dash mounted dial (be it the speedo or rev counter) is a major electronic gateway, i.e. all of the types of buses found in the MINI are jointed at this point. VERY important part of the car electronics systems.

I have not found were these functions move to in a Sat nav MINI’s. It could just mounted behind the LCD display or some of the system may move to the behind the dials on the steering column or any other place. When you find this out you may be able to put your idea into action.
