Removal of door panel with HK system

Hi,

Can anybody tell me if the method described in the FAQ's is OK to follow if you have the HK system.

Eg. do you remove the tweeter covers in the same way etc... ?

So, from the 35 people that have viewed this thread so far (none of them appear to be HK owners) even though the thread title indicates this thread is HK specific.

Alternatively they could all of been HK owners that have not removed the door panel yet.

Either way, i've not had much luck yet....

Sorry EB,

I would love to help you. But I have not remove the door panel yet. I can not answer you, but have you ask the dealer? they always answer my question. (But can not trust them all the time, sometime they really doesn't know what they r talking about)

I have no HK, but remove my door panels without removing the tweeter covers first.
The covers are fixed in the door cover, and just pops out along with the panel without problems.
Regards, Tore

I don't even have my MINI yet, but from my research thus far I don't see why the HK would make any difference at all in the door disassembly. It's still a midrange/tweeter component system located in the same positions.

I spoke with MINI Peabody techs today - they confirmed removing the door panels is no different with or without the HK.
