Velvet Cooper Multi-Function?

My wife's just ordered us a Velvet Red Cooper with a Black Roof. One of the option we want is Cruise Control, and we have been told this is part of the multi-function wheel, but cannot find any confirmation of this. Does anyone else have the multi-function wheel? You got cruise?
Also - anyone know of a Velvet red Mini in the North East of England we can come have a drool over to convince ourselves we've ordered the right colour - we haven't seen one in the flesh yet ! Anyone seen one in a dealer?

Can't wait !!!! New car on Sept 1st , 11 days before the italian job remake. ( Charlie Croker with an American Accent, I ask ya ! )

Stewart and Pamela, Hartlepool.

If you have the MFSW, you have cruise control and vice versa.

I don't have the MFSW, but sometimes wish I did.

United-States Velvet Red/Black

I recently had the pleasure of looking at a velvet red/black Mini at my local dealer. It is a nice and very classic looking combination. The red is deep and almost a maroon color. I think that you will be very pleased. Happy motoring!

BTW, the reason it's called "multi-function" is that there are also controls on the underside of the wheel for the stereo system.

Consider it a bonus!

Stewart & Pamela...

Welcome to Mini2 !, I just added the MFSW to my MCS ( Due May ) after seeing one at my dealer, and hearing lots of positive comments on here !!.

Just noticed "Hartlepool!" especially welcome then !, there's a few of us from the North-east kicking about here. which dealer are you getting your car from ?. I must admit i havent seen a velvet red around these parts, could yours be one of the first on its way ?.

Andy

The MFSW is an excellent option, although as Im new to it I still find myself reaching for the stereo controls now and then And as for cruise control I just wish I was on the wide open roads of the US instead of the M25 when the chance to actually use CC are few and far between!

I find the cruise control is best for driving through roadworks at 40 or 50 - it saves you having to worry about your speed creeping up then getting flashed - and for driving through town....you can set it at 30 or 40 and then not worry about speeding. :-)

It's electric blue and it's really very speedy

Thanks all...

We're going to be beside ourselves after a few months of this torture.

Our's is coming from Preston Farm at Stockton - Great service and nice coffee from a smashing young lady called Becky.

We also got - Sunroof, debadged, pepper p, chrome, standard 15" 8-spoke (Big wheels do nowt fer me, especially as we live in the thick of some great fun but rough country lanes) and brilliant silver with std kaleido, ASC&T,CD.

Plenty of chance to use cruise up here in the north - not that crowded now as everybody moves south - I regularly travel up the A19 for an hour without switching cruise off for an hour, as long as it's not rushhour.

Stew.

Hi-
I've got the multifunction steering wheel and so far it's been great. I don't get to use the cruise control very much but I've definitely gotten used to having the radio controls on the steering wheel. I don't know whether the radios are the same in the UK but the buttons on the US ones are awkwardly placed and hard to tell apart. I find it's so much better to be able to toggle between stations and cdplayer and change the volume without having to take my hands off the wheel. Good luck!

I got the MFSW. I love it, it's really cool to control your stero while you driving, the only down side is the center left key seem useless. I wish I can program it to something useful, like mute, or change disk for the CD changer. You can change track of your CD player/CD changer, Change Radio channel, but you can not change disk for the Cd changer. If you want to go to disk 2, you have to press the head unit to change it. Kind of suck But I still like it

You can go to my gallrty for some more pictures, I will add more to it later.

Welcome to MINI2, I'm sure you will find this web useful. You will love it

MSFW and back of the MSFW

Here is the MSFW and the back of the MSFW, you see the center key? It's useless for me, if anyone know how to program it, please let me know. Thanks

Welcome to MINI2

IMHO, MFSW is one of the best options available, and I believe it is only 160 GBP inclusive of VAT if you get Chilli pack, as the cost of the leather steering wheel is already included in the pack.

And yes, you get Cruise Control as well as controls for the stereo.

Go for it
