Unhappy Please help on my new factory alarm

I just picked up my MCS from the dealer today. I have them to install the alarm, install the sill plate (Here for more info )and fix the HID washer.(Here for more info )

Not a very good experience!!

Anyway I got my alarm done, and I found out one thing, when I get off the car I lock/arm the door. Then I found out I left something in the car, so I unlock/disarm the car, then I can not lock/arm the car again, it just beep when I press the lock key. I need to wait for a while then I can lock it.

Does anyone have the same problem? Is that the way it suppose to work? Thanks

dinlo,

I installed the factory alarm and had my dealer arm the unit. I don't have the problem you described.

Boris

dinlo,

I too just installed my alarm and had my dealer activate it. I do not have a delay in locking/arming the car if I forgot something inside after unlocking/ disarming.

Now, if you leave a door, the boot or the bonnet open, the alarm will beep/chirp to let you know that something isn't closed correctly and won't lock. Go try this. You probably just didn't have something shut.

Hmmm. I haven't tried that. I'll check later when I go home from work today. That may be the case. Maybe when the windows and sunroof aren't closed the alarm sounds to let you know the tilt/motion sensor are deactivated. Did you know if you lock/arm the car and then press lock again on the remote you deactivate the tilt/ motions sensors? Cool!
