Has anyone seen any mobile phone holders that 'clip' into the cup holders on a mini - hopefully in a colour similar to the bright silver or dark anthracite ?
Would be perfect placement in the mini and mean no drilling or adhesive sticky things.
Hi Mark, I with you on the no holes no sticky stuff. It's near impossible to find a phone holder here to suit the MINI. There was a guy in the UK who has posted recently regarding a nice bracket that simply fixes via the existing bolts for the stereo. It's the best I've seen so far.
It presents rather neatly from the gap between the stereo and the down pillar. You can then put whatever you want on the bracket.
Cheers

You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though )
Hi!
No, all wiring has been done by myself. This is really a no-frills install, done in a couple of hours. Nothing "special" in this install but the home-made connector for the harness insert. This type of connectors are very common though, only the plasticard modification is the trick really. Even this can be avoided, but then it would be harder to insert the connector into the right pins.
When you write that you "have the speaker too", I assume that you have a handsfree kit for your mobile phone. If the kit has a speaker output and an "Activity" or Mute lead it will be a simple task to connect it to the Mini HU (Head Unit)It requires some electronic knowledge, but I have written the DIY in a way that very little knowledge is needed.
Please feel free to ask if there's any problems.

What I meant to say is that I have the most basic Cooper, ie, zero options, but I have that small "speaker-looking" module on the roof, in front of the rearview mirror. I was just wondering if I can connect any phone to it (I have a Samsung, no kit or anything), although my MINI guy said I couldn't...
Hi again.
Sorry, but I have no idea what the "thingy" you describe can be...
I am almost certain that it is not a speaker though...
Maybe just a cover of some kind instead of the automatic windscreen wiper detector?
I would go for a normal handsfree kit for your mobile, either in a normal install with a separate speaker hidden under the dash, or maybe connected to your head unit as described in my DIY install.
