Blue Cooper CD Changer Prep?

Just seen this as a no-cost option - what does it involve? Just a few (invisible?) wires to the boot from the radio or something? If so, might be worth asking for it anyway just in case I add a CD-Changer in the future?

Does it alter the look of the interior or radio console at all?

:-)

Get it if you think you'd ever want the MINI changer. It's the cable from the headunit to the boot. It gets taped to a wiring harness under the right boot panel - you just fish it out later when you need it.

If you don't get it with your original order, you'll have to strip out most of the interior should you decide to add the factory (or a compatible aftermarket) changer.

I just spoke with my MINI sales advisor and he assured me that the cd prep wire to the boot is there by default.

MCS, Liquid Yellow w/black top & racing stripes, sunroof, 17in.

Maybe it's different in the US?

You have to spec it in the UK - they used to put it in apparently, but now it's a no-cost option. It's right there in the latest brochure

I sure hope I've got it (I spec'd it) 'cos I'm getting a CD Changer fitted for my birthday 2moro
