speakers-2 way, 3 way, or component

I've read a lot of threads on speakers and had a question. I will upgrade my speakers from the stock unit and can't decide whether to keep the tweeters in the front and just put in 6.5 inch 2 way or should I get components and replace them both. I'd save $100 with the 2 way and wonder if I could tell the difference. I'm looking at Infinity reference- I like the sound and price. I will be putting in 3 way in the rear. I have no interest in head units or amplifiers. I'm trying to keep it simple and make up for the fact that I should have gotten the H-K upgrade. Thanks for any suggestions.

As the tweaters carry most of your audio signal these benift from good placement. Many would say that the exsisting tweeter locations are not the best but far better than being buried by you feet.

If you go for 2 or 3 way units you will have to disconnect the exsisting tweeter anyway.

I would opt for compontents dispite the cost, stock HU and extra installation, you Will notice the differenece.
