United-Kingdom Retro Fit aircon

Anybody got any idea how much it would cost to retro fit air conditioning (manual) into a mini one including labour charges etc.

Cheers,

No doubt a lot, but don't know if anyone's done it.

I'd expect it to be >£1k since fit from factory is a £600 rip off.

I reckon it would cost mega bucks
Its costs over £1000 to fit into some Mitsubishi's and air con is a £1295 option for a Lotus Elise So £600 aint to bad

£600 doesn't look so good when it comes for free in a Fiesta or Corsa though does it

It's borderline but if you have a recent enough MINI without a/c, it may be cheaper and less hassle to part-ex it for a new one with a/c.

Worth while remembering NOT to tell the salesman you're desperate to get rid of your non-AC MINI or he/she might offer you tuppence for the one you've got. Cannae trust a car salesman can you Smiffy
