Removing the glovebox

Does anyone know if you can remove the glovebox and all the associated gubbins to revert to the (IMHO) better looking shelf arrangement?

My 04 MC will have the glovebox (standard fit), but I don't want it - there may be an opportunity to swap over bits from my current MC.......

yep its easy - ive just gone the other way!
the glove box is secured at the top and either side by torx scews, just remove them and pull it out.
Then replace with the shelf... sorted

A Black One to a VX220 .. onto a 250bhp Focus RS . . . and now an 05 MCS

My glovebox has 5 Torx T-20 screws securing it, two at the top, two at the sides and one in the center rear of the glovebox.

It's very easy to remove, it will basically fall out once you undo those screws.

If you are reverting to the shelf, you may wish to tape up the wire harness for the glovebox light and you may also wish to cap the outlet on the climate control box that directs cold air into the glovebox.
