United-States AUX Input installed at bottom of center console? Got Pics?

Hi there -

I'm seeking a picture of the Aux Input installed in the plastic piece at the bottom of the center console. Any help is appreciated!

[My dealer install guy says he can only do Glove Compartment or parcel shelf.]

Do it yourself mate then you can put it wherever you want it and you won't have to pay for installation

Maybe I will...

Actually, I was thinking about DIY. Aren't there pictures of that here somewhere?

your dealer is weak

photo of my install on the parcel shelf (2nd 12v outlet and aux input)

AND photo of evilthing's install under the center console.

i have also seen photos of it installed in a custom hole place where the missing toggle switch is on US cars.

Thanks for those shots. But evilthings looks like a total custom job. Has anyone put the input in the middle of the stock plastic panel?

nah, thats easy. the panel pops right out on a hinge. all you need to do is drill one hole straight through and 2 small pre-drill holes for the scerws.

seriously, the aux install is VERY VERY simple and you can put it virtually anywhere the cord will reach. don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

there are so many mods you can do on this car that are extremely simple but seem, at first, complicated. resist the urge to pay someone else to do simple work for you.
a good example is the install for the $11/pair front mud flaps: if you take them to a dealer they could charge you $60-90 for the install. OR you could do it yourself in 20 minutes with a drill and a screwdriver.

cheers,
