Australia Bluetooth with phone prep

Hi wanting to install the S-E Bluetooth kit HCB-30. I have an MCS with phone prep and wondered if I can just plug and play.

Mikeythemini do you have the necessary adaptor for this kit? I have factory NAV and HK upgrade as well as factory phone prep?

Any help from Mini factory personnel greatly appreciated. Dealer has no idea....

Thanks
Minijmh

The phone adapter is the same for those MINIs with the NAV, right?

I have 2 different adaptors that will work, one plug and play but although the phone will mute the stereo & sound come through the speakers etc, it won't say phone in the screen on the HK system
The other adaptor will say phone and do all the above but requires a couple of splices - I fitted one of these today to a S with nav & HK it works, took some pics will upload them over the weekend

Hmmm... I have your "regular NOK adapter" right now that I will install along with the HCB-30. I do not have the HK, but I do the NAV. I didn't think the the NAV would enter into the equation, but now I'm not so sure....

Hi,

I have just fitted the Newministuff phone interface kit for the Boost head unit. I am using a Nokia Bluetooth handsfree and the car has Satnav.

The interface kit was relatively simple to fit and works exactly as described. Well worth the money and infinitely preferable to splicing the loom and trial and error!

Well worth it and I can now actually hear the other end of the conversation, unlike with the speaker supplied by Nokia...
